A gentle message for the 92%.

Reader, there has been a lot going on this month and we're only barely halfway through the first month of the year.

With inauguration day on the horizon, I wanted to check in and see how you were doing. (And it's on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. day too? Whew.)

I'll tell you what, this week I'm spending less time in front of screens and more time taking naps, learning a couple of new recipes and diving into my latest book from my local library.

Here's your gentle reminder to join me in resisting the urge to do all the things this week. You have every right to choose your rest, ease and peace of mind over self-sacrificing, overfunctioning and overextending.

In an effort to protect your peace and preserve your energy, don't hesitate to:

  • Limit over-stimulating and stress-producing media content
  • Check in on and tend to your body's needs
  • Share space with people and in spaces that value you, appreciate you and help you feel safe
  • Schedule quality time with yourself and with your loved ones
  • Treat yourself to something you love

As often as you can Reader, gift yourself with opportunities to rest. Your future self is already grateful.

Sending peace your way,
