Reader, you'll find on this journey that recovering from burnout can feel a lot like making sure the well-rested version of you is never forgotten about, ever again.
During a recent journaling session, I wrote a letter to the well-rested version of myself. I wanted this version of me to know that I am committed to keeping her around -- she deserves to know that from me.
Because when you're surviving the fog of burnout, the well-rested version of yourself might get lost in the stress, exhaustion and disconnection that you may be feeling. As a mindful way to care for this version of you, offer yourself reminders, mantras, affirmations and encouragement to keep the version of yourself that you love in your memory. Keep audio and visual reminders of yourself at peace and having fun within reach to help keep this version of you top of mind. Try your absolute best to remember that the well-rested version of you is grateful for your decision to recover. And the well-rested version of you is depending on you to stay the course. Keep going. :)
