This is a question that I too have been sitting with on my own burnout recovery journey.
Many of us busy, hard-working folks are good for checking items off the to-do list, making the most of every waking minute and habitually overscheduling ourselves to make sure that we are always being "productive".
It's possible that we can become so responsible and achievement-oriented that it not only becomes our entire personality, but it blurs our ability to see that life isn't just about getting things done and only giving your energy to your obligations.
So take a look at your schedule this week -- is there a way to create room for you to:
It seems simple, but Reader this practice alone is a significant one. Being mindful of how much of your time and energy is spent on being responsible and productive is one impactful way to interrupt your cycles of burnout and stress.
Interrupting the habits, mindsets and narratives that fuel burnout is exactly how you can realistically design the well-rested life you were always meant to enjoy.
