If you are a seasoned member of the Gmichelle Wellness community, there's a good chance you've heard this question before. (I ask it often!)
It's important to check-in on this part of the burnout recovery journey, as many professionals find themselves over-identifying with their professional roles and titles.
The trouble with over-identifying with your profession is that you could risk losing who you are in the process. Over-identifying with your professional role can prevent you from fully recognizing that you are person with interests outside of work. You have passions, hobbies, relationships and a culture that is completely separate from your professional life. Yet in the haze of burnout, it can feel like your job is the only thing that requires your attention.
On your journey towards recovery, here's your reminder that you have an entire life outside of your work that deserves your attention too. To learn more about over-identifying with your work and discovering relief from burnout, take my 30-minute e-Course, Understanding Your Stress & Burnout Cycles.
